What you need

To use Roku, we must have a high-speed Internet connection with speed of at least 1.2 Mbps, which is available today in India also. For HD video, we recommend 5 Mbps, which is far away from India at present. A wireless or wired router if we cannot connect Roku directly to the cable or DSL modem.     How would I access the proxy server through Roku ?

    I don’t think it will work in India without a VPN connection. But I’m curious about the price mentioned in Rupees in the article. Does that mean this is a India specific device? The standard US device doesn’t work in India due geo-filtering of the content.

    It is very bad the article author did not even bother writing about the geo-filtering of the channels mentioned in the article. Eiter they simply copied this article content from a US website, without knowing that the device works only in the US, or the they simply thought the readers are knowledeable enough to know this.
